2025 June Special Town Meeting

The 2025 June Special Town Meeting will be held beginning on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 7:30 PM at Milton High School. The High School auditorium is reserved for additional nights of Town Meeting on: 

  • Tuesday, June 17
  • Wednesday, June 18

Six articles have been approved for the Special Town Meeting. The Warrant Committee's recommendations and comments for Articles 3 and 4 are printed in the Warrant. The recommendations and comments for Articles 1, 2, 5, and 6 will be uploaded, along with any presentations or additional information below.

MBTA Communities Act

The warrant for the June 16, 2025 includes two zoning articles related to the MBTA Communities Act: 

  • Article 5, submitted by the Planning Board
  • Article 6, submitted by Citizen's Petition

The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities provided the Town with feedback regarding their review of the articles for compliance with the MBTA Communities Act and the associated regulations.

  • "Adjacent Districts" will show the districts submitted under Article 5
  • "Rapid Transit Districts" will show the districts submitted under Article 6

On June 12, 2025, Town Counsel provided a memo which can be read here (PDF) which opines that the two-year ban on reconsidering the same zoning article does not apply to Article 6 (Citizens Petition).
