2024 Town of Milton Veterans Day Ceremony Schedule

Milton's observance of Veterans Day will begin promptly at 10:45 AM on Monday, November 11, 2024 with a march from Milton High School to the Town Hall and a speaking program to follow at 11 a.m. at the Town Hall. The Select Board, Milton Veterans Services, members of the American Legion Post 114, and the Milton High School Chorus and Marching Band will commemorate all our Veterans past and present.
The featured speaker is Captain Chris “Chowdah” Hill, Commanding Officer of USS Dwight D Eisenhower CVN-69. He is a native of Quincy, Massachusetts and a 1996 graduate of Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude; a 2006 graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a Master of Arts in Security Studies, with honors and was commissioned through the Navy ROTC program receiving his wings of gold as a naval flight officer in 1997. He has just returned from a deployment to the Middle East and will speak on the importance of Veterans Day.
