Veterans Day Ceremony at Milton Town Hall
The Town of Milton will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Town Hall. The ceremony will feature remarks from local dignitaries, musical performances by the Milton High School Chorus and Marching Band, and participation from the Milton Girl Scouts and American Legion Post #114. The Ceremony will begin with a parade led by the Marching Band from Milton High School along Canton Ave to Milton Town Hall and will step off from the High School at 10:45 am.
This year's featured speaker is Colonel Mark A. Denton, a Milton High School Class of 1992 graduate and Executive Officer to the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army. Colonel Denton is a decorated U.S. Army officer with over 30 years of distinguished service, including multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His numerous awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
The ceremony will include the posting of colors, the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, recognition of Gold Star families, a Project 351 Proclamation, the Armed Forces Medley, and a moment of silence for all POW/MIAs.
Veterans History Project Launch
This year, in collaboration with Milton TV, the town will launch the Veterans History Project to honor Milton's veterans through video recordings. Colonel Denton will be the first veteran featured in this important initiative. Veterans who wish to participate in the project are encouraged to contact the Veterans Services office at the Council on Aging or email aortiz@miltonma.gov.
